The hotel is located at the foot of the Zittauer mountain range, where the German border meets the Czech Republic and Poland. This is a perfect area for hiking, cycling or riding through. Visit the Olbersdorf lake and try windsurfing or diving. During the winter this region is ideal for winter sports, with ski resorts in the surrounding Zittauer Gebirge mountain range. There is a ski school in nearby Waltersdorf. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for day trips to the cities of Görlitz, Dresden, Zittau, or Olbersdorfer Lake. Visit the castle and abbey of Oybin, or the Schmalspurbahn (narrow gauge railway). Guided hiking tours of the surrounding area are also possible.
